Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Software Engineer to join our Computershare Technology Services (CTS) team. CTS partners with our global businesses deliver technology services, IT support, and innovative solutions that enable our clients, customers, and employees to succeed. A role you will love

As a Software Engineer, you will play an important role in designing, developing, and maintaining modern software solutions that support key business initiatives. Working within one of our cross-functional Delivery Teams and reporting to the Engineering Practice Lead, you'll collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Solution Engineers, Architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology outcomes.

You will have the opportunity to work with modern technologies, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and apply engineering best practices to build scalable, secure, and reliable solutions. You will also support our Design Studio in the execution of experimentation activities to help drive innovation and improve customer experience.

Other Key Responsibilities Include

  • Collaborate with Senior Software Engineers to understand business and technical requirements and design effective software solutions.
  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Improve and maintain automated testing practices to ensure strong coverage, quality, and reliability of software solutions.
  • Partner with engineers and stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered effectively, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Contribute to the successful achievement of team objectives, Challenges, and Missions.
  • Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies and support the team in maintaining effective delivery practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and advocate for engineering best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in relevant conferences, learning opportunities, and internal training programs, sharing knowledge and insights with colleagues.

Key Skills Required Include

  • Tertiary qualifications in Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant industry certifications.
  • Experience developing software using modern programming languages such as C#, Java, Ruby, or similar.
  • Experience in front-end development using frameworks such as React.js and Next.js.
  • Experience writing and maintaining SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for Agile methodologies, continuous improvement, and ongoing learning.

Desired Skills But Not Essential

  • Next.js, React, Redux, and TypeScript.
  • Gatsby and GraphQL.
  • C#, .NET Core, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Azure DevOps and broader Azure Cloud services.
