Senior Power BI Developer - Microsoft Fabric

We're working with an organisation that is investing heavily in its modern data and analytics capability and is looking for an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to help shape the future of enterprise reporting. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative data team where you'll have the autonomy to influence architecture, improve reporting capabilities, and drive the adoption of Microsoft Fabric across the business.

You'll work closely with data engineers, business stakeholders, and technology leaders to build scalable analytics solutions that deliver meaningful insights and support strategic decision-making.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and deliver enterprise reporting solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
• Build and maintain robust semantic models that provide a trusted reporting layer for the business.
• Develop Lakehouses, Warehouses and modern data models to support analytics and self-service BI.
• Improve the performance, usability and governance of existing Power BI reports and datasets.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into practical analytics solutions.
• Champion reporting standards, documentation and best practices across the analytics function.
• Support the ongoing evolution of the Microsoft Fabric platform and identify opportunities to improve data accessibility and reporting capability.
• Work with large and complex datasets to deliver reliable, high-performing dashboards and insights.

About You

• Extensive experience developing enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, Warehouses, Dataflows Gen2 and semantic models.
• Advanced DAX, Power Query and SQL skills.
• Experience designing scalable data models and optimising report performance.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI administration, security, governance and deployment practices.
• Experience using tools such as Tabular Editor to manage and enhance semantic models.
• The ability to engage confidently with stakeholders, gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with technical and non-technical teams.
