Catholic Education Canberra Goulburn is seeking an accomplished, values-led and practising Catholic HR executive to lead the people, culture and workforce agenda across one of Australia's most distinctive Catholic education systems.
Operating across the ACT and NSW, Catholic Education Canberra Goulburn supports a large network of schools and early learning centres, serving families and communities across metropolitan, regional and rural settings. This is a significant system leadership role with direct impact on principals, teachers, support staff, students and families.
Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, Corporate Services, the Chief People Officer will lead a multidisciplinary People and Culture function spanning people partnering, workforce strategy, recruitment, retention, health, safety and wellbeing, payroll, employee and industrial relations, organisational development and culture.

What you'll need to succeed
As Chief People Officer, you will lead the people strategy across one of Australia's largest Catholic education systems, supporting 56 schools and nine early learning centres across the ACT and NSW.
Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, Corporate Services, you will lead workforce strategy, organisational development, employee and industrial relations, recruitment, WHS, wellbeing and leadership capability while partnering closely with the Executive Leadership Team, principals and the Board.
What you'll bring
- Executive leadership experience in HR, People & Culture or Workforce Strategy.
- Expertise in workforce planning, employee and industrial relations, organisational change and culture.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
- Experience leading large, complex and values-driven organisations.
- A genuine commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
Essential requirements
- Practising Catholic with an active connection to a parish or worshipping community.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
- Accreditation in accordance with the Work, Teach and Lead policy.
