Project Lead – Survey | Brisbane About RCSRoad & Civil Surveys (RCS) delivers specialist construction surveying, utility locating, 3D laser scanning and UAV/drone services across road, rail, civil and transport infrastructure. We partner closely with tier-one contractors to deliver accurate data and practical, on-site advice that keeps projects moving. The RoleWe're seeking an experienced Project Lead – Survey to head up survey delivery on a major rail infrastructure project. This is a full-time role owning the survey scope from set-out through to handover, working directly with the client's project and engineering teams.You'll be responsible for:- Leading and coordinating RCS survey personnel on site, including resourcing, scheduling and quality assurance- Managing day to day client requirements and acting as the key survey point of contact for the project- Delivering set-out, as-built, topographic and monitoring survey work to specification and program- Reviewing survey data, reports and deliverables for accuracy and compliance- Coordinating UAV and scanning activities where required- Liaising with project managers and engineers to integrate survey outputs into design and construction decisions- Mentoring team members and contributing to continuous improvement of survey workflowsWhat You'll Need- Demonstrated rail surveying experience on major infrastructure projects (essential)- Proven ability to lead and manage survey teams and deliver to client and program requirements- Current Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card- Working in Electrified Territory (WET) and Safely Access the Rail Corridor (SARC) competencies- Strong technical capability across set-out, control, topographic and as-built survey- Proficiency with Trimble/Leica field equipment and relevant survey software- Tertiary qualification in surveying, geomatics or a related discipline- Strong attention to detail, sound problem-solving, and a genuine commitment to safety and compliance- Valid driver's licence and willingness to work on siteWhy RCSJoin a growing, well-regarded surveying business working on some of QLD and NSW's most significant infrastructure.
