Education Advisor: Early Years Compliance

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Education Advisor: Early Years Compliance to support the strategic oversight and compliance of early childhood education and care services across the system. This full-time, 2-year contract role quick plays a key role in ensuring services meet legislative, regulatory and quality standards.

In this role you will work closely with the Manager: Early Years Operations, Compliance and Growth and key stakeholders, you will provide expert advice, lead system-wide initiatives, and support continuous improvement across a diverse portfolio of services.

CESA Has Oversight Of

  • 55 services registered with the ESB (4 ELCs, 9 Preschools, 12 Occasional Care services, and 42 OSHC services
  • 66 support playgroups
  • 25 OSC services contracts outsources to Third Party Providers

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Compliance: Lead system-wide compliance for early years services, ensuring alignment with the National Quality Framework, legislation and SACCS requirements across Preschool, Occasional Care and OSHC services
  • Policy & Governance Oversight: Develop, implement and monitor policies, procedures and frameworks to ensure consistent compliance and high-quality practice across all services
  • Support & Capability Building: Design and deliver resources and professional learning to support school and service leaders in meeting regulatory requirements and improving practice
  • Collaboration & Advisory: Partner with senior leaders, Principals and key stakeholders to provide expert advice and support the strategic direction of early years services
  • Quality Assurance & Improvement: Lead assessment, rating and continuous improvement processes, supporting services to achieve and maintain high-quality outcomes
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee compliance monitoring, data reporting and service approvals, ensuring accurate records and effective regulatory engagement

About You

  • Qualified educator with relevant tertiary qualifications and current teacher registration in South Australia
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood legislation, policy, and the National Quality Framework
  • Demonstrated experience in governance, compliance and quality improvement within early years settings
  • Proven ability to provide strategic advice and lead system-level initiatives and projects
  • Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
