As a TAFE Teacher you will have the opportunity to impart your extensive industry knowledge and experience to students using a variety of delivery methods including in the classroom, online, and workplace. The Role
As a TAFE Teacher in the English Language and Migrant Education faculty, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by sharing your extensive industry knowledge to students in a classroom or other educational setting.
We have multiple temporary part-time teacher positions available until 8 January 2027 (unless otherwise determined) to join our English Language and Migrant Education (ELME) faculty across various TAFE Queensland Brisbane campuses, including Loganlea, South Bank and Browns Plains.
This position reports to the Educational Team Leader.
Salary
The salary range for a Teacher is $92,930.03 - $105,218.10 (gross) per annum plus superannuation contributions of 12.75% of your salary.

Mandatory Requirements
- A recognised, Post Graduate Qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) qualification; and
- A recognised Undergraduate degree (preferably in Education); and
- Recent teaching experience in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages to adult learners in Australia.
- TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
- TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
- TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
- TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
- TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor;
- TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;
- TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;
- Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
Candidates who have successfully completed the TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set and are currently enrolled and actively progressing towards completion of one of the above qualifications may also be considered for this role.
Highly Desirable
- Current knowledge and skills in English language training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
- Current evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
