What You Will Be Doing

• Supervising day-to-day workshop operations and leading a team of tradespeople, apprentices, and workshop personnel
• Planning and coordinating labour, resources, and workflow to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements
• Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with WHS policies and procedures
• Monitoring productivity, quality, and operational performance across the workshop
• Interpreting engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation
• Identifying and resolving operational issues while maintaining workflow efficiency
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation
• Assisting the Branch Manager with operational planning and workshop performance

What Will You Need?

• Trade qualification in Mechanical, Fabrication, Boilermaking, or a related Engineering discipline
• Previous experience in a Workshop Supervisor, Leading Hand, or similar leadership role
• Strong understanding of workshop planning, scheduling, labour allocation, and resource management
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver productivity, quality, and safety outcomes
• Sound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety legislation and risk management practices
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation
• Computer literacy with experience using ERP or manufacturing systems
• Current Driver's Licence
• Current Forklift Licence (essential)
• Dogging, Rigging, EWP, or other High Risk Work Licences highly regarded
