Band 6 - Salary Range $97,926 to $106,637 per annum + 12% Super + ADO

The Opportunity

The role will report to the Coordinator Amenity Protection and will supervise the Community Safety Officers within the Amenity Protection team. They will liaise with the Community Safety department, Council’s solicitor and various other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to the management of the Local Laws and Parking enforcement programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and support to the Community Safety Officers within Amenity Protection.
  • Assist with the monitoring and reporting of performance of the Local Laws and Parking enforcement staff and service delivery.
  • In conjunction with the coordinator, effectively develop and implement community awareness and education programs relating to Local Laws and Parking, and the safety of the amenity of the municipality.
  • Assess and authorise briefs of evidence generated by the Local Laws and Parking enforcement staff.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Certificate IV in Animal Regulation and Management & Certificate IV in Government or substantial experience in Local Government enforcement or substantial experience in the field.
  • Experience in dealing with complaints or disputes in a professional and diligent manner.
  • Supervisory experience and/or a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff.
  • Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
