Title: PROJECT MANAGER – TRANSMISSION NETWORK PROGRAM
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of transmission and access network infrastructure programs within a large-scale telecommunications environment. The role is responsible for managing end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of telecommunications infrastructure projects and programs.
Manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, and governance.
Deliver transmission network programs including fibre, microwave, IP and optical transport solutions.
Manage vendors, contracts, SLAs, and delivery performance.
Monitor CAPEX/OPEX budgets and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
Prepare executive reports, steering committee packs, and project dashboards.
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and support network lifecycle, resiliency, and decommissioning initiatives.
Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, safety, and site access requirements.
Qualification
Any Relevant Project management certification - PMP, PRINCE2 , SAFe, or AgilePM
Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Experience
Program / Project Management - Minimum 5 years of end-to-end program or project management experience in a telecommunications, utilities, or infrastructure environment
Transmission or Access Network Delivery - Minimum 3 years of direct experience in transmission network infrastructure programs, including microwave, fibre, or IP/optical transport.
Vendor & Contract Management - Demonstrated experience managing external vendors against contractual SLAs, milestone schedules, and performance obligations.
CAPEX/OPEX Budget Management - Demonstrated experience tracking and reporting project budgets.
Stakeholder Management - Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders in a large enterprise or telecommunications environment.
Decommissioning or Network Lifecycle Programs - Experience in legacy equipment decommissioning, asset retirement, or network lifecycle management is highly desirable.
Resiliency or Risk Uplift Programs - Experience delivering network resiliency, redundancy, or risk remediation programs is highly desirable.
Technical Competencies
Project Scheduling & Planning Tools — MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent enterprise project scheduling platforms; Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), maintain risk registers and issue logs. publish status reports and milestone dashboards and steering committee reports.
Primary location: OCS-F3 on site 3 days per week or as required. Limited WFH
