As part of our long-standing partnership at Middlemount Mine, we're seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our maintenance team. The Opportunity

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities across a large fleet of heavy mining equipment, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with operational requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and scheduling preventative and corrective maintenance activities for heavy mining equipment
  • Developing accurate weekly maintenance schedules that align with operational priorities and available resources
  • Managing day-to-day and long-term maintenance planning to meet production and maintenance objectives
  • Ensuring compliance with MacKellar's CMMS/ERP work management processes
  • Monitoring planned maintenance performance and ensuring work is completed within agreed timeframes and budgets
  • Working closely with supervisors, tradespeople and operations to maximise equipment availability and reliability

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • A Mechanical Trade qualification or a degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant post-trade mining experience
  • Previous experience in a Maintenance Planner or similar maintenance planning role within mining or heavy industry
  • Strong understanding of maintenance planning principles and heavy mobile equipment
  • Experience using CMMS/ERP maintenance management systems
  • Well-developed Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • A current Queensland Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)
  • Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Queensland Driver Licence
