We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Drill & Blast Engineer to join our mining team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and assessing Drill & Blast programs for our mining workforce, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

This role is for a top tier miner & are to start August 3 (3 days of Perth paid classroom-based training). The estimated duration for the project will be 12 - 18 months on an 8/6 roster. The central projects are all related to construction of road infrastructure.

You will be primarily responsible for providing support with Production and Drill and Blast departments including reporting, drill and blast and mine plans and schedules.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and make changes for Drill and Blast and mining resourcing requirements
  • Maintain and improve the Drill and Blast process
  • Carry out and report QA/QC on the Drill and Blast Process
  • Develop, implement and maintain design & planning processes
  • Undertake Drill and Blast related project studies and investigations
  • Provide technical services support to other teams to safety.

What Is Required

  • Established relevant Drill and Blast experience and qualifications within Mining Engineering or similar discipline
  • Software experience in mining planning software is highly desirable
  • Team-oriented mindset, focused on quality and solutions.
  • Valid C Western Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Adaptable to changing environments with a strong commitment to safety.
