About the Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full time, Regular Giving Officer to join our Supporter Experience and Retention team based out of our Blackburn, Melbourne office.

This role provides donor support services to The Salvation Army (TSA) regular giving donors (Crisis Partners) and International Development. It drives the national fundraising acquisition and second gift strategies to grow and retain new donors. The position delivers clear, integrated communications to Individual and Regular Giving donors via the Genesys call platform. It enhances the productivity and operational effectiveness of the Donor Services team. The role also fosters a collaborative donor experience by contributing to donor strategies, campaign planning, and ongoing fundraising performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to donors by managing enquiries, donations, receipts, feedback, and resolving issues professionally
  • Support the growth and retention of the Regular Giving program through donor engagement, reactivation, win-back, upgrade, and cross-promotion activities
  • Manage inbound and outbound donor communications, including phone calls, correspondence, and campaign support
  • Process Regular Giving donations accurately and maintain donor records in Blackbaud CRM, ensuring data integrity and compliance
  • Coordinate and distribute donor communications, ensuring all correspondence and documentation is accurate, up to date, and easily accessible
  • Prepare Regular Giving reports and provide general administrative support, including mail processing and other donor services activities
  • Identify opportunities to enhance donor engagement and contribute to the ongoing success of the Regular Giving strategy

About you

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer-centric environment or similar relevant role
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and written correspondence with a diverse range of donors or customers, including handling queries, complaints, and donations
  • Proficient in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems or similar databases, ideally within a fundraising or not-for-profit environment

Requirements of the Role

  • A national police record check is required as part of the recruitment process
  • Rostered hours will be between 8 am –7pm Monday to Friday
