What you will be doing and delivering

As the Grower, you will be based at our Warragul site, reporting to the Senior Grower. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality crop production by implementing and optimizing growing strategies, monitoring crop health, and driving best-practice greenhouse operations. Working closely with production and operational teams, you will use data-driven insights and sustainable growing practices to maximise yield, quality and operational performance while supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Key deliverables

• Implement and optimise crop growing strategies, including irrigation, climate control, nutrition, crop care and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) to maximise yield and quality.
• Monitor crop health, analyse production data and provide accurate production forecasts while proactively addressing quality, pest and production issues.
• Lead, coach and support a team to deliver safe, high-performing greenhouse operations, including participating in the on-call roster for critical operational support.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through crop trials, innovation, data analysis and the development of best-practice growing processes.
• Collaborate across operational teams to ensure production targets, sustainability objectives and workplace safety standards are consistently achieved.

What you will bring to the role

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related discipline (highly regarded).

Experience

• 2+yrs of experience in commercial greenhouse growing, crop management, and horticultural production.
• Experience implementing growing strategies across irrigation, climate control, crop nutrition, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and propagation.
• Experience using climate control or growing software systems to monitor and optimise crop performance.
• Experience analysing production data, forecasting crop yields, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring teams in a fast-paced operational or agricultural environment is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of pesticide and fertiliser application practices and relevant regulations is highly regarded.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of commercial growing practices, crop health, irrigation systems, and greenhouse climate management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience using climate monitoring and growing software systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production data and make informed, data-driven decisions.
• Comfortable using technology to improve growing outcomes, reporting, and operational efficiency.
