As our institutional business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Director – Institutional Sales to play a key role in driving the next phase of our global growth.
About the Role
This is a high-impact, revenue-generating role suited to an experienced institutional sales professional with an established network across the FX/CFD industry.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for originating new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding ACY Connect's institutional client base globally.
This is a full-time, Sydney-based position, requiring regular onsite collaboration with our local leadership and dealing teams.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has 5+ years of Institutional FX/CFD Sales experience
- Has an established network across brokers, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, banks or institutional market participants
- Has a proven track record of generating revenue through strategic client acquisition and long-term relationship management
- Enjoys building new business and thrives in a high-performance, entrepreneurial sales environment
- Understands institutional trading solutions including liquidity, prime brokerage, API connectivity and related capital markets products
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand institutional client relationships including brokers, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, banks and other institutional market participants.
- Leverage your existing institutional relationships and industry network to identify, originate and convert new business opportunities into sustainable revenue growth.
- Identify and pursue institutional sales opportunities across global markets.
- Present ACY Connect's institutional offering, including liquidity, prime brokerage, API connectivity, trading technology and risk management solutions.
- Structure and negotiate commercial agreements with institutional clients and strategic partners.
- Work closely with Dealing, Liquidity, Operations and Compliance teams to successfully onboard and support clients.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitors, regulatory developments and institutional client requirements.
- Provide regular pipeline, activity and revenue reporting to senior management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to continually enhance our institutional offering and client experience.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–10 years' experience in Institutional FX/CFD Sales.
- Demonstrated success in institutional client acquisition and revenue generation.
- Established relationships across institutional clients, including brokers, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms or banks.
- Experience selling institutional trading solutions, liquidity, prime brokerage, API connectivity or related capital markets products.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine hunter mentality.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- RG146 qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- Must be based in Sydney, Australia, or willing to relocate prior to commencement.
- Full Australian working rights are required.
