An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Senior Associate to join our Corporate, M&A and Capital Markets team in Perth. You will work closely primarily with our highly regarded Corporate Partners Bryn Hardcastle and Dave Filov, taking a leading role in the execution of complex transactions and contributing to the strategic direction of our practice. This is a role for a Senior Associate who is ready to take the next step in their career and assume greater responsibility for client relationships, transaction management and the mentoring of junior team members.

The Role

This role offers deep involvement across the full spectrum of corporate advisory, equity capital markets and M&A work. You will be expected to have carriage of complex matters, deep expertise in both domestic and cross-border transactions and you will play a key role in structuring, drafting, and negotiating corporate transactions. This is a hands-on role that will provide you with the opportunity to work on high-profile and emerging clients on market-leading deals with a particular focus on the resources sector including critical minerals.

Skills & Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring:

  • Senior Associate experience in Corporate M&A and Capital Markets, ideally gained in a top-tier or reputable firm environment.
  • A strong academic record and a commitment to technical excellence.
  • The ability to manage multiple demanding matters simultaneously, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A client-focused approach with the confidence to engage directly with clients and build trusted relationships.
  • A collaborative working style and a genuine interest in mentoring and developing junior lawyers.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
