The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, inventory management, and dispatch of materials. The role provides day-to-day leadership and work allocation to Warehouse Operators, ensuring operational priorities, inventory integrity, customer requirements, and HSE standards are consistently achieved. The position works closely with SCM, Logistics, Operations, and Project teams to support business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • Certificate III in Warehousing Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Operations, or equivalent experience.
  • Current High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF)
  • Dangerous Goods by Sea
  • Dangerous Goods by Road

Desirable

  • Dangerous Goods by Air.
  • Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, Frontline Management, or equivalent supervisory qualification.
  • Lean / 6S / Continuous Improvement training.
  • First Aid Certificate.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within Warehouse / Logistics operations.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating daily warehouse activities and work allocation across operational teams.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion, SAP, JDE, or similar inventory management systems.
  • Experience in oil and gas, energy, manufacturing, industrial services, or project-based environments is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and inventory control programs.
  • Lead daily warehouse activities, including inbound receipts, storage, picking, packing, and outbound shipments.
  • Conduct regular toolbox / morning meetings to communicate workload priorities, safety requirements, and operational updates.
  • Act as a point of coordination between warehouse and logistics, supporting shipment planning, documentation, and execution (including international freight where required).
  • Support and provide backup to Logistics during peak workload or absence.

  • Monitor and report key warehouse KPIs (on-time receipts, dispatch performance, inventory accuracy).

  • Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately processed in Oracle Fusion (receipts, transfers, issues, and dispatch).
  • Maintain and execute cycle count program, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely reconciliation.

  • Oversee material handling and packing quality to ensure compliance with customer and project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment movement and stock traceability.

  • Support month-end close activities, including inventory reporting and reconciliation.

  • Ensure stock availability aligns with project and offshore operational requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 6S activities and warehouse process optimization.

  • Lead operational performance meetings and contribute to improved safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity outcomes.
  • Conduct routine warehouse inspections and weekly 6S audits.

  • Provide day-to-day directions, guidance, and support to Warehouse Operators to maintain workflow efficiency and service delivery.
  • Monitor workload allocation and resource utilization, adjusting priorities to meet business and project requirements.
  • Support the onboarding, training, and competency development of Warehouse Operators.
  • Provide input into employee performance discussions, training needs, and workforce planning activities.
  • Promote accountability and adherence to warehouse procedures, quality standards, and HSE requirements across the warehouse team.
  • Act as the operational lead for warehouse activities in the absence of the SCM Manager.
