Hidrive is seeking a skilled and hands‑on Mobile Automotive Electrician & Accessories Installer to join our workshop team. Based in Northgate, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical on‑the‑tools work, installing electrical systems and accessories across a broad range of vehicles.
You’ll work on site, carrying out high‑quality installations at our Brisbane facility. Travel to other national Hidrive locations will be required from time to time, depending on workload. The role offers variety, technical challenge and regular exposure to different vehicle builds in a fast‑paced, workshop driven setting.
About the role
The role consists of fitting service bodies onto new vehicles as outlined in work instructions and engineering drawings. Tasks include the installation of accessories onto vehicle and service bodies such as bull bars, LRFT’s, Cranes and Winches. We have clean, modern workshops with inhouse training and tools provided.
About you
- A Trade Qualification is not essential
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Proactive, organised, and accountable to the business
- Demonstrated competency in Automotive electrical tasks, all accessories’ installations, fit out and vehicle integrations
- Innovation & Process mapping to consistently improve existing challenges and issues
- Work collaboratively with your manager and the team on site
- Adherence to Workplace Health & Safety policies are crucial
- Customer centricity
- High communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- You enjoy being part of a great culture and working in a collaborative team
- You have a keen eye for detail
- You think outside of the box and enjoy finding solutions for problems
