Your Opportunity

We are recruiting for an Engineering Manager to lead our Brisbane based engineering team. Reporting to the General Manager – Engineering who is based in Perth, you will be required to build and manage the team providing people management and the hands-on technical design engineering expertise across a variety of projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

Manning allocation, development and hiring of design resources in collaboration with the Discipline Managers.
Continual development of design processes and procedures.
Delegation of all projects of Project Design Managers.
Maintenance and development of client relationships.
Ensure compliance of design products with the design procedure.
Ensure design managers are following established project plans and procedures.
Ensure design products comply with applicable legislation, standards, client, third party and project requirements.
Ensure designs are fit for purpose and consider all aspects including cost, constructability, operability and maintainability.
Ensure design products are delivered in accordance with the project schedule and budget.

What You ‘Can Do’

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
15+ years' experience in minerals processing design.
Demonstrated experience managing a team of Design professionals.
Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
Detailed understanding of multi-discipline design delivery within the minerals processing sector.
Solid understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
Knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles, and practices.
Advanced level of expertise with engineering technical detail.
Demonstrated planning and organisation skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Commitment to continued professional development.
Strong work ethic.
