About the Role
Patient Transport and Interpreter Booking Coordinator | 0.93 FTE (35.4 hours per week) | Monday to Friday
We are seeking an organised, customer-focused and proactive Patient Transport and Interpreter Booking Coordinator to join our Social Services team.
This role combines the coordination of patient transport and interpreter bookings to support patients in accessing healthcare and facilitate effective communication between patients, carers and clinicians.
Working closely with clinical and non-clinical staff, external service providers and community organisations, you will coordinate patient transport and interpreter bookings, respond to enquiries, resolve service delivery issues, reconcile invoices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of both services.
This is a 0.93 FTE (35.4 hours per week) position worked across five days (Monday to Friday). The primary focus of the role is:
- Monday and Tuesday: Patient Transport coordination.
- Wednesday to Friday: Interpreter Booking coordination.
While each day has a primary operational focus, the successful applicant will work collaboratively across both functions and provide support where required to ensure continuity of service and respond to operational priorities.
About You
You will bring:
- Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound judgement.
- Experience in administration, coordination or customer service, preferably within a healthcare environment.
- Well-developed computer skills and experience using databases or booking systems.
- The ability to work collaboratively with patients, carers, clinicians and external service providers.
Experience in patient transport coordination, interpreter booking coordination or healthcare administration will be highly regarded.
