Procurement Contract Specialist | 14-month fixed-term contract | Docklands-based

The Role

If you are ready to bring your contract management expertise to one of Australia's most iconic food companies, we want to hear from you. As our Procurement Contract Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting procurement governance and leading contract management activities across our Logistics function, working with suppliers across freight and warehousing. You'll join a collaborative team environment where you'll gain exposure to complex commercial arrangements, key strategic suppliers and senior stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives by helping to prepare tender and contract documentation, contributing to procurement planning activities, and ensuring logistics supplier contracts align with business objectives, sustainability initiatives, and compliance requirements

  • Draft, review and coordinate supplier agreements, working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and legal teams to support contract negotiations, execution and ongoing contract management across a diverse logistics supplier base

  • Monitor supplier performance, maintain accreditation requirements, conduct supplier evaluations, and identify opportunities to improve contract effectiveness, standardisation, consistency and overall supplier outcomes

  • Manage contract governance activities including approvals, documentation, reporting, audit compliance, contract records and maintaining accurate information within contract management, procurement and ERP systems

  • Analyse procurement and supplier data, prepare meaningful reports and insights, support risk mitigation activities, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive commercial value and business outcomes

About You

  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to analyse risks, market dynamics, supplier performance and cost drivers to support informed procurement and sourcing decisions

  • Proven ability to manage complexity, interpret large volumes of information and identify practical solutions that balance commercial, operational and stakeholder requirements

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver clear, professional and effective outcomes across diverse audiences

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, with experience drafting contracts, analysing data and identifying opportunities to improve value, reduce risk and control costs

  • Proficiency in procurement systems, including Microsoft Office applications and contract management platforms (ideally GEP), supported by a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
