Based in: Melbourne, Australia
The Project Delivery Manager will be focused on the management of solar and batteries projects, from late-stage development, through construction and commissioning, until handed over to Asset Management.
What will you do?
- Management end to end execution of the project (in office and onsite), from taking responsibility for the project from the Business Development unit and early works phase to the handover to the O&M unit, ensuring the achievement of project goals in terms of safe design, construction and commissioning of the plant, within the approved parameters of time, cost and quality.
- Be accountable of project scheduling and budget management.
- Coordination of project phases and activities, applying project management best practices, in compliance with safety, environment and quality standards.
- Coordinate and coach Project Team members to ensure achievement of projects goals.
- Prepare budget and time schedule of the project and ensure the project is built in accordance with the same.
- Construction reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects comply with the requirements of the applicable permits and contracts.
- Managing project handover from construction to operations ensuring early involvement
- Collect and share lessons learned from project execution.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, local entities, partners and in general all the internal and external stakeholders.
What do we need?
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering
- Minimum 7 years' experience in a project management role within the Renewable Energy sector, within engineering and construction departments
- Strong knowledge in solar and batteries design, operations and maintenance activities, contract management, SCADA and control systems
- Proven experience in project development, design review, CAPEX analysis, and construction-phase engineering management.
- Strong knowledge of PV and BESS technologies, grid integration, and EPC project execution.
- Experience of managing construction of utility scale Renewable Energy projects, i.e., larger than 50MW.
- Experience working with co-developers, EPC contractors, and international project teams.
- Strong relationship with NSP’s on different levels, design, and construction.
- Good understanding of budgets and design to cost solutions (capex and opex evaluation)
- Proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Ability to travel domestically, ensuring presence at the construction site when needed. Valid driving license.
- Comprehensive understanding of Grid Connection processes
- PMP certification is considered advantageous.
