Initiative Delivery Lead (max term)

As an Initiative Delivery Lead based in Brisbane, You'll help deliver enterprise initiatives that improve how Great Southern Bank serves customers while developing your career alongside experienced delivery leaders. This is a 12-month max-term position.
This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their project delivery journey. Focussed initially on payments and integration initiatives that are modernising the bank's technology platforms, you'll work closely with the Senior Portfolio Delivery Leads to coordinate delivery activities, manage project governance artefacts and support cross-functional teams, helping deliver the technology that supports our purpose of helping every Australian own their own home.
You'll make an impact by
- Coordinating and delivering initiatives from planning through to implementation, with support from experienced delivery leaders.
- Building delivery plans, tracking progress and helping teams stay aligned on priorities and outcomes.
- Managing risks, issues, dependencies and governance activities to keep initiatives on track.
- Driving collaboration across business, technology and vendor teams to deliver initiatives successfully.
- Applying the Great Southern Bank Delivery Model while continuing to build your delivery expertise.
- Supporting agile and iterative ways of working and contributing ideas to improve how we deliver.
- Building trusted relationships with stakeholders through clear communication and collaboration.
- Learning from experienced colleagues while progressively taking on greater responsibility and more complex initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring
- At least 2+ years' experience in project delivery – delivery, coordination, PMO, change, business analysis, or similar roles.
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career in initiative or project delivery.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confidence working with a range of stakeholders and building positive working relationships.
- Experience working in agile, traditional or hybrid delivery environments, and/or a willingness to learn.
- An understanding of project delivery concepts such as planning, risks, dependencies and governance.
- Strong communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity, adaptability and a continuous learning mindset.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications are welcome but not essential. We value capability, potential and a willingness to learn as much as formal credentials.
