The Opportunity
We're looking for a proactive and driven
HSE Coordinator to join our Moorebank site and play a key role in supporting the delivery of a strong safety and environmental culture.
In this role, you'll work closely with the Site and National HSE teams to coordinate and maintain HSE systems, drive compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site. You will be instrumental in ensuring effective implementation of the HSE Management System, while partnering with operations to embed safe work practices and improve risk management outcomes.
This is a hands-on, highly visible role where you will build capability, influence behaviours, and contribute to a proactive safety culture within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.
What You Will Do
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the HSE Management System and site HSE Plan
- Coordinate site inspections, audits, and action tracking to ensure timely close-out of risks and incidents
- Maintain key HSE systems and registers, including risk assessments, ChemWatch and Enablon reporting
- Monitor contractor compliance, including pre-qualification, onboarding, and site inductions
- Track and report HSE performance metrics, including environmental data (waste, water, energy, chemical use)
- Assist with incident investigations and support corrective action management
- Coordinate HSE training requirements, maintain the skills matrix, and support capability uplift across site
- Deliver toolbox talks, training and coaching to improve engagement and awareness
- Support HSE Committee activities and contribute to a positive, engaged site culture
- Assist in developing and reviewing SOPs, ensuring safety and environmental considerations are embedded
What You Will Bring
- Experience in a similar HSE, Safety or Coordinator role within manufacturing, logistics or a high-risk environment
- Relevant qualification in Health, Safety & Environment (Diploma, Degree or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of HSE systems, risk assessments, audits, and compliance requirements
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive, self-driven approach with a passion for safety and continuous improvement
