We are looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to support our commercial insurance short tail products and develop outstanding pricing solutions. This would encompass analysis of internal and external data to provide customer insights; working in a dynamic environment across the pricing family; delivering recommendations to varied stakeholders; remove blockages to performance; escalate issues; and look for ways to improve and simplify processes. The role will work to deliver the Commercial insurance strategy and will execute a program of work focussed on delivering against a dynamic and optimal P&L in the short, medium & long term using hands-on pricing analysis and modelling.
What You’ll Do
- Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and insights that support pricing decisions
- Develop pricing recommendations that balance customer outcomes with commercial objectives
- Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to pricing reviews and ongoing optimisation
- Partner with stakeholders across Pricing, Portfolio, Finance, Actuarial, Claims, and Data to deliver pricing initiatives
- Support the implementation of pricing changes and ensure appropriate governance processes are followed
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of pricing models, tools, and reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase automation, and drive continuous improvement .
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 2 years appropriate industry experience in General Insurance with a preference for Pricing, Actuarial Analyst or Portfolio Management
- Proven ability to engage in a team to achieve individual, team and divisional goals. Preferably experience as an analyst in similar domain
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights
- Experience using analytical tools such as SAS, R, Excel, SQL, or other programming languagesAn understanding of pricing methodologies and statistical modelling principles
- Commercial acumen and an understanding of insurance portfolios, financial performance, and market dynamics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to a variety of stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset, strong organisational skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
