Contract Administrator - 3 Month Contract

This is an immediate requirement for a contractor who can hit the ground running and take ownership of multiple trade package procurements as the project moves through a critical phase.

As a Contracts Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing the administrative aspects of the projects, ensuring smooth operations and successful project delivery. These projects will all be in the Defence sector. As a result, you must be an Australian Citizen, or Permanent Resident and able to obtain Defence level security clearance.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Managing contractual documentation and correspondence.
  • Reviewing, negotiating, and finalising contract agreements.
  • Preparing and issuing project variations and progress claims.
  • Coordinating subcontractor agreements and ensuring compliance.
  • Tracking project budgets, costs, and timelines.
  • Liaising with project stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Assisting with project procurement and supplier management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator in the construction industry.
  • Solid knowledge of govt/defence project requirements, contract law, construction methodologies, and industry practices.
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction, project management, or a related field will be highly regarded.
