We're seeking an experienced

HSE Advisor to support the safe delivery of construction and water infrastructure projects across sites located south of the river. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team delivering essential infrastructure in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

About the Role Reporting to the HSE Manager, you'll work closely with project teams to promote a strong safety culture, ensure legislative compliance, and provide practical HSE support across multiple construction and water infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HSE advice and support to project managers, supervisors, and site teams.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and workplace observations.
  • Lead incident investigations and identify corrective and preventive actions.
  • Facilitate risk assessments, SWMS reviews, and pre-start meetings.
  • Support environmental and quality compliance where required.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety training.
  • Assist with reporting, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant WHS legislation and client requirements.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience as an HSE Advisor within the construction industry.
  • Experience working on water or civil infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and risk management principles.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum); Diploma or higher is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships with operational teams.
  • Current Australian driver's licence.
  • 4 years experience in a similar field
