The company's Global Drilling Services division operates in over 40 countries with a diverse mining customer base spanning a wide range of commodities, including copper, gold, nickel, zinc, uranium, and other metals and minerals.

We are seeking experienced underground Driller Assistants for current and upcoming projects in our WA operations. These opportunities are for experienced candidates who are wanting to take the next step in their drilling career and move into Trainee Driller roles. Full training, including formal drilling qualifications, will be provided to successful candidates.

The successful candidates will have experience in the Drilling industry, a demonstrated history of working to strict safety and quality standards and a willingness to learn.

About The Role

  • Various vacancies across WA sites
  • Rotating shifts on a 2/1 or 2/2 FIFO roster
  • Working closely with qualified and experienced Drillers
  • Training new Driller Assistants
  • Daily pre-start equipment checks
  • General maintenance
  • Mixing drilling fluids
  • Supporting Driller in setting up drill pads and assisting with rig moves
  • Completion of safety documentation and compliance with safe work practices

The Successful Candidate Must Possess

  • Experience working in the Drilling Industry
  • Current C class Driver’s License (manual)
  • National Police Clearance, or willing to obtain one
  • First Aid and CPR certificate (desirable)
  • Physical ability to lift 30kgs repetitively in a labour-intensive role
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
  • Demonstrated personal commitment to safety
