A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate (3-5 years’ PQE) to join our Canberra Property team working alongside Ben Gulan.

The Role
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate (3-5 years’ PQE) to join our Canberra Property team working alongside Ben Gulan. The role offers the opportunity to work with institutional clients across a broad mix of property matters, with a strong emphasis on general property transactions, commercial leasing, and developments.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage acquisitions, disposals, contracts, and due diligence
- Draft and negotiate leases for local and institutional clients
- Assist with development agreements, titling and project documentation
- Work directly with institutional clients and provide commercially focused advice
- Assist with precedents, legal updates, and support continuous improvement within the team
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Between 3-5 years’ experience from a reputable property team. Relevant in-house experience may also be considered
- Experience with commercial leasing and property development work will be highly regarded
- Strong emotional intelligence and resilience, with a disciplined commercial approach to negotiations
- Excellent communication skills with a client-service focus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
