The role

We are currently seeking a Coordinator Family Support Services (FSS) to join our Parenting and Families team. As a Coordinator FSS, you are responsible for the successful management of Communicare’s Individual Family Support Service (FSS), a universal, early intervention program which is funded by the WA State Government and our Telethon grant funded services, working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) families.

Through the provision of values-based leadership to staff working within these programs, you will:

  • Drive service excellence by identifying and implementing initiatives that enhance both efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Foster strategic relationships by developing and maintaining key partnerships within the sector.

  • Strengthen community impact by enhancing service delivery and expanding opportunities for individuals and families to build financial resilience and capability.

This is a fixed term part-time role until 18 December 2026, working 52 hours per fortnight, and is located in Cannington.

About You

  • Diploma of Community Services or a related discipline.

  • Experience in the developing and delivering services community service programs to achieve identified program outcomes.

  • Experience in developing and sustaining successful partnerships with strategic stakeholders.

  • Experience working within a culturally competent framework and with staff and clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Advanced communication (written, verbal and public speaking), interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships.

  • Advanced people management skills, including the ability to lead and manage people and resources to achieve consistent outcomes, and provide professional supervision.

  • Advanced organisational skills, including the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Advanced negotiation, influencing and advocacy skills.

  • Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date)

  • Unrestricted drivers’ licence

  • Current Working With Children Check
