About the role
This role is suited to a delivery-focused Business Analyst who enjoys working across complex digital transformation initiatives. You will play a key role in the delivery of the REAL AI program, a strategic two-stream initiative focused on scaling an AI agent platform and supporting the procurement of enterprise AI SaaS solutions.
You will be responsible for capturing, documenting and managing business and functional requirements, ensuring traceability from business needs through to solution delivery. Working closely with academic, technical, governance and procurement stakeholders, you will help drive project outcomes while supporting governance, procurement and evaluation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Key areas of focus
• Lead requirements elicitation and documentation activities across two concurrent project streams
• Maintain the project's Requirements Repository and Use Case/Functional Requirement Master Register
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to identify, validate and prioritise requirements
• Develop and maintain current-state and target-state business process maps using BPMN methodologies
• Support procurement and vendor evaluation activities, including RFI/RFO documentation and evaluation criteria
• Ensure requirements traceability from business objectives through to delivered solutions and vendor assessments
• Contribute to governance, risk and project reporting processes throughout the project lifecycle
Key responsibilities
• Own and maintain project requirements documentation, ensuring accuracy, consistency and traceability across all project artefacts
• Elicit, analyse, document and validate functional and non-functional requirements through workshops, interviews and stakeholder consultations
• Facilitate engagement with academic, technical, governance and business stakeholders to define and refine requirements and business processes
• Develop and maintain current-state, transition-state and future-state process maps using BPMN standards
• Support the development of procurement documentation including evaluation strategies, RFI/RFO documentation and scoring criteria
• Maintain RAID registers covering risks, issues, actions, decisions and dependencies, ensuring alignment with project governance standards
• Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Domain Architects and technical specialists to ensure requirements are accurately translated into solution designs
• Support vendor evaluation activities by mapping requirements against vendor responses and assessment criteria
• Monitor requirements status, identify gaps, manage change requests and escalate risks where required
• Contribute to project governance activities, stage-gate reviews, impact assessments and project reporting
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation to support audit requirements, knowledge transfer and operational handover
What you'll bring
• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst delivering ICT, digital transformation or enterprise technology projects
• Strong requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation skills, including user stories, use cases and traceability management
• Experience developing business process models and process mapping artefacts using BPMN methodologies
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills across business, technical and executive audiences
• Experience operating within structured project governance frameworks and maintaining RAID registers
• Exposure to procurement, vendor evaluation or tender processes would be highly regarded
• Knowledge of information security, privacy, AI governance or regulated environments will be advantageous
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality project documentation
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across multiple workstreams simultaneously
