About the role

We are looking for a Patient Care Assistant (Orderly) to join our friendly team at SKG Radiology based at the Hollywood branch on the Hollywood Hospital campus in Nedlands, WA.

As a Patient Care Assistant, you will be an integral part in the team by providing a high standard of care for our patients in the areas of patient transfer and support to our technical staff. PCA’s are responsible for assisting with the transfer and transport of hospital in-patients to and from SKG’s Hollywood Department and will be required to take on additional departmental tasks as directed. There is no direct patient care i.e. showering, toileting as part of this position.

This position is Full Time 75 hours a fortnight. Shifts can range from a 7:30am start to a 6:30pm finish. Additionally this role would participate in public holiday and weekend rosters. Due to being full time, this role is not suitable for those studying or on study visas.

  • Proven patient-care experience
  • A Certificate III in Health Service Assistance/Health Support Services or similar will be an advantage.
  • Be able to provide evidence of vaccination/immunity/screening to a list of vaccine-preventable diseases

Please note that this role will involve the transportation and transfer of patients and as such the successful candidate must be physically fit to undertake all duties required for the position. Applicants will be required to undertake a pre-employment health and fitness examination.
