About the role
AGL has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Interface Manager to join our Energy Assets team on a 24-month fixed term contract, supporting the delivery of the Hunter Transmission Project (HTP) while protecting the ongoing safe and efficient operation of Bayswater Power Station.
This role is based on site at Bayswater Power Station, Muswellbrook, and offers a unique opportunity to lead AGL's interface with one of New South Wales' most significant transmission infrastructure projects.
You will act as the key point of contact between AGL, government agencies, project stakeholders and internal business units, ensuring AGL's obligations are met while minimising impacts to operations and delivering positive outcomes for the business.
What you will be doing
As the Interface Manager, you will lead and coordinate activities associated with AGL's obligations under the Hunter Transmission Project land acquisition agreements, ensuring the continued efficient operation of Bayswater Power Station.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all matters relating to the Hunter Transmission Project
- Representing AGL at contractual meetings, forums and stakeholder engagements
- Leading and coordinating internal and external specialists to meet project obligations and minimise operational impacts
- Managing interfaces between the project and existing environmental, planning and operational requirements
- Developing risk mitigation strategies to protect AGL's operational activities and projects
- Coordinating information requests, scopes of work and specialist services required under project agreements
- Leading implementation activities including site communications, access protocols, procedural changes and operational adjustments
- Managing project-related budgets, procurement activities, resource planning and reporting
- Developing and nurturing strong relationships across government agencies, contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders
- Promoting a culture of safety, compliance and operational excellence across all project activities
What you will bring
To succeed in this role, you'll be a confident leader with exceptional stakeholder management capability and experience working within large-scale industrial, infrastructure, energy or government-related projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating complex project interfaces
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills across diverse groups
- Experience working within power generation, electrical transmission, major infrastructure or complex industrial environments
- Proven contract administration, project governance and cost management capability
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Legal Studies or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience
- Excellent communication, negotiation and facilitation skills
- Commercial acumen and ability to balance competing stakeholder priorities
