We are a family-owned industry leader specializing in manufacturing quality feed supplements for primary producers. We are currently looking for full-time Mill Operators in our North Melbourne Feed Mill.

This position is responsible for operating equipment required for the manufacture of stockfeed. Full training provided. The position is full time, Monday to Friday with an immediate start. Our North Melbourne Mill is close to public transport and on-site parking is available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating feed manufacturing equipment, ingredient mixing, measuring and batching.
• Driving front end loaders, telehandlers and forklifts
• Working safely and efficiently to meet daily production and quality targets.
• Inventory management including weighbridge duties, warehousing and loading
• Monitoring and testing grain and feed quality
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment
• Adhering to OH&S policies

MINIMUM SKILL LEVELS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience operating front end loader
• Current forklift license and drivers license
• Experience in trades, feed mill or manufacturing environment a distinct advantage
• Mechanical aptitude an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake manual tasks
• Good written communication and computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Sound knowledge of OH&S and environmental policies and legislation
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and/or overtime hours as required
• High level of attention to detail, ability to work in a team and under pressure
