As a Sugar Cane Bin Handling Assistant at Wilmar Sugar and Renewables, you’ll work closely with the shift team to ensure a steady supply of bins into the mill for processing.

This seasonal position follows a continuous rotating shift roster, which includes weekends and occasional overtime.

Your Role in Action

• Pulling rakes of cane bins onto the full bin creeper to maintain a constant, unbroken supply of bins.
• Keeping the work area and surrounding areas clean and tidy.
• Provision of assistance in cleaning mill chokes and other duties during stoppages or as specified by the Shift Supervisor.
• Demonstrate awareness of general quality control standards.
• Assist tradesmen in the maintenance and repair of mill equipment and machinery if required.

Your Winning Combination

Our ideal candidate will have a "can do" attitude with a commitment to a safe working environment. You will be able to communicate effectively, including using the mill radio systems, and have a willingness to undergo further training if required.
