We're looking for an ambitious finance professional with a strong background in financial accounting and reporting to join our Finance team in a permanent leadership opportunity, reporting to the National Manager – Finance, Accounting and Systems.

You'll have the opportunity to contribute to Project Aurora, Nissan Financial Services' major finance transformation initiative. This provides valuable exposure to systems, process improvement and cross-functional project work, allowing you to broaden your experience while maintaining a strong operational finance focus.

You'll also take ownership of core BAU finance activities including month-end reporting, financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting and stakeholder management, while assisting a small team and supporting the continued growth of the function.

Your Opportunity

This role offers a unique blend of operational finance and project work, giving you exposure across both Business-as-Usual activities and a large-scale finance transformation.

You'll

• Assist in monthly financial close activities across Australia and New Zealand.
• Prepare and review management reporting, financial statements and analysis.
• Provide financial insights and commentary to senior stakeholders.
• Manage audit, compliance and financial controls.
• Coach and support a small finance team.
• Represent Finance on Project Aurora, supporting testing, implementation and system improvements.
• Partner with migration teams to reconcile contract-level data and sign off migrated balances as finance representative
• Ensure end-to-end accuracy of accounting flows from the contract management system into SAP.
• Review wholesale and retail accounting entries and posting logic in the new system.
• Drive process improvements across finance operations.

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you are:

• An experienced Financial Accountant/Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or Senior Financial Analyst ready to take the next step into leadership.
• Ideally experienced within financial services or a complex corporate environment
• CA or CPA qualified
• Experienced across financial and/or management accounting including month-end, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and translating financial information into meaningful business insights
• Passionate about systems and finding smarter ways of working
• Adaptable, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment
• A collaborative leader who enjoys coaching others and building strong relationships across the business.

Experience with SAP and involvement in system implementations or large projects will be highly regarded
