We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Support Officer to join our team and help people with disability build confidence, develop workplace skills and achieve their employment goals.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work alongside supported employees within our operational environments, providing coaching, mentoring and practical workplace support.

Working closely with production leaders, managers, participants and their support networks, you’ll help create an inclusive workplace where every individual has the opportunity to succeed.

No two days are the same.

You’ll be supporting people to develop new skills, achieve their NDIS employment goals and build greater independence while contributing to a productive commercial workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred workplace coaching and support to employees with disability.
  • Build positive relationships with supported employees, families, carers and external stakeholders.
  • Assist employees to develop workplace skills, confidence and independence.
  • Complete participant documentation, progress notes and employment-related reporting.
  • Conduct workplace inductions, training and ongoing coaching.
  • Work collaboratively with Line Leaders, Factory Managers, Supervisors and the NDIS Support team.
  • Complete wage assessments and productivity observations.
  • Identify and respond appropriately to participant support needs.
  • Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and high-quality employment outcomes.

About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a practical environment and is passionate about creating opportunities for others.

  • Experience supporting people with disability, mental health or other support needs.
  • A genuine commitment to person-centred and strengths-based practice.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team.
  • A positive attitude, resilience and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to adapt to changing situations and think on your feet.

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check (Victoria)
  • National Police Check
  • Current Driver Licence
  • International Police Check (where applicable)
