The Opportunity
We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic who enjoys working independently. We’re looking for a reliable, hands on Mechanic to join our team in Mount Gambier, SA. This role will be reporting to Workshop Manager.
This is an independent role, perfect for someone who thrives working autonomously, has strong diagnostic skills, and can confidently deal with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to keep operations running smoothly .
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone to keep our heavy vehicles and trailers in top shape by servicing and maintaining a wide variety of fleet to keep Australia moving.
You will
Performing maintenance and repairs of heavy vehicles and equipment
Managing relationships with external suppliers for parts and services
Maintaining equipment and vehicles to company and manufacturer standards
You will have
Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic
Experience working independently or in remote/autonomous environments highly desirable
DG and Fuel tanker maintenance experience advantageous
HR/HC or MC License highly desirable
Basic computer skills advantageous
Forklift licence highly desirable
Excellent communication
Ability to manage time and workload effectively
