Executive & Personal Assistant – Construction
For more than 25 years, Hyecorp has been acquiring, designing, constructing and managing our own award-winning residential and mixed-use developments across Sydney, and we build every one of them ourselves, under North Shore Property Construction.
With a growing pipeline and a Managing Director who runs at full pace, we need someone who can keep up. This isn’t your standard EA role. You’ll own the MD’s day, cutting through the noise, condensing competing demands into a clean weekly run sheet, and making sure the right things get done, by the right people, on time.
Our MD is across projects, people, finance and strategy all at once. What he needs is someone who takes the clutter off his plate, prepares sharp information packs, makes sure every meeting has a purpose, and ensures no action item quietly disappears.
You’ll know how a construction business actually works — ideally from time in accounts payable or finance admin — and you won’t hesitate to chase a project manager for an overdue report or push back when information doesn’t stack up. When the answer is buried in a system or sitting in someone’s inbox, you’ll find the way to get it.
Must haves
Genuine experience in the Australian construction industry, with a background in accounts payable or construction finance admin. You know how projects are tracked, how money moves through a build, and how to read construction or accounts reports.
What you’ll be doing
- Translating a week of meetings, requests and deadlines into a clear weekly run sheet with supporting briefs
- Managing the MD’s calendar, logistics and communications — filtering noise, surfacing what needs a decision
- Preparing reports and executive summaries to support business decision-making
- Chasing action items and outcomes across the construction, design, finance and sales teams
- Handling a degree of personal assistance — calendar, errands, appointments and the occasional surprise
- Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders on behalf of the MD
You’ll be a great fit if you…
- Own your day – You don’t wait to be told what’s urgent. You figure it out, prioritise fast, and get on with it.
- Know when to push – You’ll follow up until you get what you need — politely, persistently, and without being told twice.
- Understand construction – You know how projects and costs are tracked, and you’re comfortable navigating finance systems.
- Handle the whole job – You’re comfortable supporting both the professional and the personal family needs, and you’re discreet about both.
- Hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Are prepared to undertake a National Police Check
