The Opportunity
As our Compliance & Training Lead, you will be the driving force behind a world-class safety culture at our Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC). This pivotal, hands-on role invites you to champion operational excellence by coaching our teams on safety and food compliance, spearheading critical investigations, and collaborating across the business to deliver impactful solutions. Beyond maintaining our high standards, you will provide compassionate leadership by guiding injured team members through their return-to-work journey, making a meaningful difference in our people's lives every day.
What you’ll do
- Champion a Culture of Safety & Compliance: Drive and oversee all daily Safety and Food Safety practices across the Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC), ensuring we meet and exceed all standards.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Partner with leadership to achieve key site metrics and contribute to the successful delivery of the site's P&L.
- Develop & Implement Strategy: Design and execute forward-thinking strategies to maintain the highest levels of Safety & Food Safety compliance across our automated CFC network, including building future Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
- Coach & Empower Teams: Support CFC leadership by training and developing team members, fostering a deep understanding of what it takes to run a fully compliant operation.
- Support Team Wellbeing: Play a key role in our return-to-work program, providing compassionate and effective support to injured team members on their recovery journey.
- Coordinate comprehensive training and administrative support, including MHE scheduling, Toyota I-Site account management, Learning Dashboard data analysis, inductions and onboarding, uniform management, event planning, Care Award coordination, and the development of operational resources such as reference guides, authorised user lists, and name badges.
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you will bring a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on operational experience, including:
- A deep understanding of Safety and Food Safety regulations, combined with a sharp eye for detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
- A passion for people, with proven experience in engaging, developing, and communicating effectively with teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- An adaptable, results-driven mindset with strong planning skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
- Unwavering honesty and integrity, with the ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Proven experience in a compliance-focused role, with hands-on experience in conducting investigations, reporting, and a strong understanding of Return to Work requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in developing and managing diverse teams within a 24/7 operation, coupled with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High computer literacy and comfort in a data-driven environment, with the ability to leverage various systems and insights to implement successful compliance programs.
