Maintenance Supervisor

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance and grounds operations at our Salem Aged Care facility.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a trade or construction background who enjoys combining hands-on maintenance with team leadership, planning and contractor coordination. You'll play a key role in ensuring our facilities remain safe, well maintained and welcoming for residents, staff and visitors.

Location: Toowoomba - QLD

Role Type: Full Time | Monday to Friday | On-call recall where applicable

Remuneration: $33.11ph + Super + Salary Packaging + Access to staff discounts & benefits.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations while supporting the Service Manager to ensure buildings, grounds and equipment are maintained to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting the Grounds & Maintenance team
  • Planning, coordinating and monitoring maintenance schedules and works
  • Undertaking maintenance and repair work in line with your skills and qualifications
  • Coordinating contractors, tradespeople and external suppliers
  • Providing advice on building maintenance, improvements and minor projects
  • Managing maintenance systems, work requests and documentation
  • Monitoring equipment, chemicals and maintenance supplies
  • Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health & Safety requirements
  • Supporting fire safety compliance, servicing and documentation
  • Participating in an on-call recall roster where required.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in construction, building maintenance, a trade or facilities maintenance environment
  • Experience supervising or leading a small maintenance team
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance, grounds or facilities management
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
  • A commitment to safe work practices and quality outcomes
  • A current Driver's Licence & obtain and maintain a National Police Check.
