We are currently inviting expressions of interest from BMS Technicians who would be interested join our WA Buildings team. This is a hands-on field-based role working across Perth and surrounding area, supporting a broad customer base across commercial, health, education, and infrastructure environments.

The WA team plays a critical role in Siemens overall Building Automation offering. This position suits someone who enjoys commissioning, fault finding, working directly with customers, and taking ownership of outcomes in live operational environments.

Reporting to the WA Service Operations Leader, you will deliver technical work across commissioning, preventative maintenance, reactive service, minor upgrades, and small works. You will work across multiple customer sites and be part of an on call and after-hours support roster.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Commissioning, preventative maintenance and reactive service of building automation and HVAC control systems
  • Fault finding and rectification of control panels, field devices, networks, and software
  • Use of diagnostic tools and remote service platforms to identify and resolve issues
  • Evaluation of customer systems and providing technical recommendations
  • Supporting site safety activities including OH&S compliance and risk assessments
  • Assisting with minor works, upgrades, and commissioning activities
  • Providing technical input into quotes, planning, and service delivery where required
  • Maintaining accurate service records, reports, and customer documentation
  • Building strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders

Essential skills and experience

  • Solid understanding of HVAC fundamentals and building services systems
  • Experience working in a service or maintenance environment
  • Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer engagement and interpersonal skills

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience with Building Automation Systems including Siemens Desigo, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of control networks such as BACnet, Modbus, and IP based systems
  • PLC or building controls software exposure
  • Experience with commissioning, testing, or minor project works
  • Understanding of energy efficiency and optimisation principles
  • Confidence using mobile devices, service management systems, and Microsoft tools
  • Awareness of cyber security and OT network best practice in building systems
