Your new company

A well-established organisation is seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to join its finance leadership team. Operating within a complex and fast-paced environment, the business offers an opportunity to take ownership of the financial reporting function while contributing to ongoing improvements in systems, controls, and governance. This role is ideally suited to a technically strong finance professional looking to lead a finance team and drive best-practice financial management.

Your new role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the accounting function and be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial information across the organisation. You will oversee month-end and year-end reporting processes, maintain the integrity of the general ledger, and ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and financial reporting obligations. Key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing management and financial reports, overseeing reconciliations, managing treasury and cash flow forecasting activities, and leading the annual budgeting and forecasting process. You will also coordinate external audits, manage relationships with banking and other external stakeholders, and ensure the effectiveness of internal controls and financial governance frameworks. In addition, you will drive continuous improvement across finance systems and processes, provide technical accounting guidance to the wider finance team, and support strategic business initiatives through robust financial analysis and reporting.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will be CA or CPA qualified and possess significant experience within a senior financial accounting or financial control environment. You will have strong technical accounting expertise, including a thorough understanding of accounting standards, statutory reporting requirements, taxation compliance, and financial controls. You will bring proven experience managing financial reporting cycles, external audits, balance sheet integrity, cash flow management, and budgeting processes. Strong leadership capabilities, advanced Excel skills, ERP system experience, and the ability to identify and implement process improvements will be highly regarded. You will be a detail-oriented and commercially aware finance professional with excellent analytical capabilities and the ability to communicate complex financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

What you'll get in return

You will join a collaborative organisation that values technical excellence and continuous improvement. This position offers the opportunity to lead a capable finance team, strengthen financial governance, and play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of a growing business. A competitive salary package and long-term career development opportunities are available for the successful candidate.
