Purpose

The Clinical Educator is responsible for leading and coordinating workforce capability, therapeutic practice development and clinical education initiatives across Children and Youth Services, including Intensive Therapeutic Residential Care (ITRC) and Out of Home Care (OoHC) programs. The role supports the delivery of safe, consistent and therapeutically informed services through structured education systems, onboarding, competency development, reflective practice and operational coaching. This position plays a key role in embedding therapeutic models of care, strengthening workforce capability and improving practice consistency across residential environments.

The ideal candidate

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Allied Health, Human Services, Education or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience working within therapeutic care, child and youth services, disability, mental health or complex behavioural support environments
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating workforce capability, clinical education, therapeutic practice development or operational coaching initiatives
  • Strong understanding of trauma-responsive practice; Therapeutic residential care; Behaviour support approaches; Safeguarding obligations; Child protection environments; and Therapeutic crisis response
