Principal Accountabilities

Deliver significant technical enhancements to The software through design,technical analysis, coding, testing and delivery of software to required specifications

  • Root cause analysis and problem resolution
  • Strong contribution in discovery sessions where applicable
  • Continuous improvements and maintenance
  • Adherence to required standards and practices
  • Participation in daily stand-ups where applicable
  • Follow and contribute to team principles, procedures, and practices
  • Proactively monitor alerts

Qualifications and years of experience, skills and attributes required

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Up to 10 years' software development experience across design, build, testing, deployment and support.
  • Strong skills in Java/Kotlin, JavaScript and Python,plus project-specific programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented principles, full-stack development, modern web technologies including SPAs, and UI/UX design basics.
  • Experience with Agile practices, unit testing, test automation, Continuous Delivery and
  • DevOps/infrastructure automation.
  • Strong database experience across MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch and VectorPG.
  • Knowledge of messaging technologies, relevant frameworks/tooling, and basic Unix/Linux skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on quality, scalability, continuous learning and delivering business outcomes.
  • Workato or similar tools are Desirable
