Officer – Aerodrome Reporting
Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future. You will find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process zinc, lead, and silver from our open cut mine. It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped to our customers worldwide. About the Role
The Aerodrome Reporting Officer plays a vital role in supporting airside reporting functions and ensuring the smooth operation of MRM’s Aerodromes. This role primarily focuses on assisting in the safe, effective, and compliant operation of the airport. Duties include conducting airside inspections and general maintenance to meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities

Assist with airside reporting and general maintenance at MRM’s Aerodromes
Conduct regular safety inspections of aerodromes, including lighting systems and runways
Report hazardous situations and initiate repairs or corrective actions as necessary
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards for airport operations
Maintain a safe and secure environment for aircraft operations and personnel
What We're Looking For

A Certificate III in Aviation (Ground Operations and Service)
Aviation security screening training
Weather observer training – AWO Module 1: Fundamentals of Aviation Meteorology & AWO Module 2: Principles of Aerodrome Weather Observations
Airnorth RAMP & Customer Service training
Identity Verification Training
Certification for pressure feeders and over-wing aircraft refuelling
A valid driver’s license
