Scope of Work
Due to continued growth and recent project awards, NRW Civil & Mining are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our high-performing team on upcoming infrastructure projects.
This role will see you working on large-scale urban projects such as roads, bridges, rail, and associated infrastructure within a metro environment. The successful candidate will coordinate and administer engineering activities to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications to successful completion.

To be considered for the position as a Senior Project Engineer you must possess the following as a minimum:
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering qualification or relevant degree
- Extensive experience as a Senior Project Engineer in a civil or infrastructure environment
- Main Roads WA experience is preferable, with a strong understanding of specifications and scope of technical criteria
- Extensive experience in road and pavement construction, including bulk and detailed earthworks, subgrade preparation, and pavement layers.
- Proven experience in end-of-month reporting and forecasting, with a strong understanding of construction productivities and cost drivers.
- Sound understanding of construction sequencing and planning, with the ability to develop and implement efficient and buildable work methodologies.
- Experience in managing procurements and package of works
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrable experience in managing small engineering teams
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, CAD and PDF software packages
- Knowledge of Microsoft Projects/Primavera P6 software/Aphex preferable
- Proven site execution capability, working with Supervisors, Superintendents and client representatives to maintain and build strong relationships
- Ability to work autonomously but also collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Reporting to the Project Manager or section lead, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Supervise Project Engineers and support the management team in the safe delivery of the project
- Completing daily and weekly planning, progress and productivity reports and site records
- End of month requirements such as forecasting
- Prepare engineering computations and drawings
- Field engineering assistance for responsible work areas
- QA preparation, ITP sign off, NRC’s and quality documentation
- Procurement and planning assistance
- Review project schedules to ensure delivery times are met and communicate with key stakeholders on progress
