The Opportunity
The Day Cancer Centre (DCC) is a nurse-led unit that provides comprehensive, family-centred oncology services for children and young people. This is a full-time, ongoing role.
As The Nursing Unit Manager, You Will
- foster a positive work environment for your team in line with the RCH’s values
- ensure the delivery of high-quality patient and family centred care
- oversee operational, nursing and performance governance across people, quality and care
- drive improvements that elevate patient safety, outcomes and experiences
- advocate for patient rights with compassionate, culturally sensitive and respectful care

Classification for this position will be governed by Award 22 - Registered Nurses and be classified at NM11 (NUM Level 2) from $142,105.60 per annum, plus Superannuation.

Other Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered though the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
- Ability to meet the RCH’s Chemotherapy Accreditation requirements - including completion (or commitment to complete) the eviQ Paediatric Anti-Cancer Drug Administration Course
- Demonstrated dedication to continuous development, evidenced in an up-to-date CPD/PPP
- Previous leadership or management experience of a healthcare team
