Employee Liaison Officer – IR Compliance & Pay Remediation

We are seeking an empathetic and highly organised

Employee Liaison Officer to join a dedicated IR Compliance team supporting current and former employees through a significant pay remediation program. This is a unique opportunity to make a genuine difference by guiding employees through the remediation process, answering queries, and ensuring payments are managed accurately and efficiently.

Working closely with the IR Compliance team, you'll be the first point of contact for employees, providing clear advice, maintaining accurate records, and escalating complex matters where required.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide timely, accurate and professional advice to current and former employees regarding the pay remediation process, payment timelines and next steps.
  • Respond to employee enquiries and complaints with empathy, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Liaise with former employees and their dependants to obtain information required to facilitate remediation payments.
  • Build awareness of the remediation program by providing guidance and support to leaders across the business.
  • Prepare correspondence and documentation using established templates.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, case notes and remediation data.
  • Monitor and report on remediation progress to internal stakeholders.
  • Escalate complex or sensitive matters to the IR Compliance team with clear and comprehensive handovers.
  • Support the maintenance of former employee databases and ensure information remains accurate and up to date.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and employee experience.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a structured environment and can confidently manage sensitive conversations with professionalism and care.

You'll Bring

  • Experience providing timely, accurate advice and customer service to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Previous experience managing employee or customer enquiries and case management.
  • Strong customer service kills, showing empathy and the ability to communicate effectively with current and former employees, including their dependants.
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience preparing professional correspondence.
  • An understanding of HR policies, workplace processes and employee lifecycle activities.
  • Knowledge of workplace relations and/or employee relations legislation (highly regarded).
  • Experience interpreting policies, procedures and Enterprise Agreements (desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent data management and record keeping skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, Customer Service or a related discipline are preferred.
