Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Unaccredited Vascular Surgery Registrar to join the 2027 medical year.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role

The Vascular Surgery Unit at Northern Health provides elective and 24/7 emergency care for patients in the northern catchment of Melbourne. The vascular surgical unit comprises of seven surgical consultants. This role will require being available for the on-call roster.

The vascular unit at the Northern is well poised to offer a suitable candidate excellent exposure to the speciality with the availability of two hybrid surgical theatres and a diversity of open, endovascular and hybrid procedures offered.

Currently there is a 1 in 5 on call roster.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Australian citizen, or holder of valid working VISA/ability to apply
  • Holder of current AHPRA registration or equivalent/eligible to apply
  • Proven knowledge and experience applicable to vascular surgery
