About the Role
The Communications Manager is responsible for leading the organisation’s communications and marketing approach, with a focus on building awareness and engagement with key audiences.
This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive and adaptable communicator who enjoys both strategic thinking and delivery. As the sole communications specialist, you will shape communications planning while also creating content, managing digital channels and supporting media and external engagement.
You will also use data and insights to inform your work, turning information and trends into clear, accessible and engaging communications such as newsletters, online content and stakeholder materials.
About YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, journalism or relevant industry experience
- Proven experience delivering a broad range of communications and marketing activities from planning through to execution
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging content across different channels and audiences
- Experience contributing to or implementing media and communications initiatives that support awareness and engagement
- Comfortable working with data and insights, and able to translate these into meaningful and accessible content
- Experience managing digital channels and campaigns, including email communications and social platforms
- A hands-on, self-directed approach, with the ability to work both strategically and operationally
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Adaptable and willing to support broader team activities when needed
- Sound digital skills and confidence using a range of systems and tools
